I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy, American Foundation for Greek Language and Culture (AFGLC) Professor of Greek Culture, and director of the Interdisciplinary Center for Hellenic Studies at the University of South Florida. I received my PhD in Philosophy from Princeton University in 2014 (Classical Philosophy Program).
My research focuses on the history of philosophy. My book, The Value of the World and of Oneself: Philosophical Optimism and Pessimism from Aristotle to Modernity, was published with Oxford University Press in 2022. My book, Aristotle on Religion, was published with Cambridge University Press in 2017.
